Coronavirus Update

We have created the following policy for the restart of rehearsals after the coronavirus outbreak. The policy will be reviewed regularly and may be altered as time goes on.

If you have any symptoms; high temperature, new cough, loss of taste or smell or generally feeling unwell please do not attend. For your own peace of mind you may wish to do a lateral flow test before attending the rehearsal.

The church has a venue QR code for those of you using the NHS Track and Trace app to check in.

All the windows will be open and also the back door into the garden to allow some free flow of air.

Arrival at rehearsals between 7.00pm and 7.20pm, the rehearsal will commence as close to 7.30pm as we can manage.

Please enter at the main entrance of the church and into the rehearsal space as normal. Please wear a mask as you come into the building. (Please note a choir will be rehearsing in the main church for a few weeks, we are in the rear hall as usual)

Please bring your own music stand if at all possible, this is just in the short term while we find our new normal!

The music folders will be placed on seats prior to the rehearsal starting. Please keep your instrument case with you and also any bags/coats/drinks etc next to your chair. You can remove your mask once you are seated.

At the end of the rehearsal please pack up your own personal belongings, leave the music folder on the seat and exit as directed

Bathroom - use of the bathroom is fine if required, please put on your mask when you leave your seat.

Instruments: if you play an instrument which produces water please ensure that you bring a small absorbent cloth and a bag to place it in and take it away at the end of the rehearsal.

We will wipe down chairs with sanitiser at the end of rehearsals if required.

We have developed the full risk assessment using guidance from Making Music. We have developed these rehearsal protocols based on the RA.
